All meals, yoga classes and group events are optional participation. Free time/quiet time may be taken at any point and for as long as you desire.

The food. Oh, the food.

Your meals will be lovingly prepared by chef Vaughn Owens. Expect to feel balanced, nourished and deeply cared for.

Fresh Local & Seasonal Fare

Vaughn proudly prepares consciously-curated vegetarian meals full of local produce, nutrient dense grains, and protein rich beans and legumes. All of our meals for the week will be house made fresh daily and any allergies or dietary restrictions will be happily accommodated (gluten free, vegan, lactose intolerant, nut free etc).

Breakfast is served mid morning and will offer a bountiful variety of homemade muffins, granola and yogurt, omelets, roasted potatoes, parfaits, fruit salads.

Afternoon snacks of cheese, vegetables & hummus, fresh fruit, and chips & guacamole are brought to the porch, and yogis are also welcome to bring their own snacks and beverages.

Dinner is a glorious buffet created with love each and every evening. We’ll enjoy a creative array of soups, salads, paella, stir-frys, grilled and roasted vegetables, and a make your own taco bar as well as desserts like Chocolate Crinkle Cookie Whoopie Pies, Coconut & Lime Ice Cream, Wild Berry Crostata, and Orange & Olive Oil Polenta Cake.

Beverages

Coffee and Tea will be provided and guests are permitted to bring their own wine and beer. No hard spirits please.

The purpose.

Rushing is a form a quiet aggression. It is of crucial importance that you pause, and take the time to tend to your body, mind and spirit. Tara and I are dedicated to the art and craft of living more balanced, joyful lives, and have curated this experience to give you the space to discover your own individual self-care and emotional nourishment.

Accommodations.

Our retreat sanctuary is a unique 5,000 square foot single story home built around the view of the Superstition Mountains and desert landscape. The home is unbelievably spacious with 12 foot ceilings throughout, 4 bedrooms and 3 & 1/2 bathrooms. There is a beautiful pool, a 5 person hot tub, a jacuzzi tub, balcony overlook, a huge patio and a fire pit.

    All rooms are equipped with comfy beds prepared with fresh linens. You may bring your own sleeping bag, pillow, or blankets if you prefer. Bath towels are provided.

    Four bathrooms will be shared amongst all guests and offer 4 toilets, 3 showers and a jacuzzi tub.

Soothe.

The lovely patio & scenic overview provide full views of the Superstition Mountains. Nap in a comfy chair, take a jacuzzi, enjoy a good book, or meditate in the sun. These outdoor escapes are guaranteed to soothe your soul!

All classes will be in the great room. Please bring your own yoga mat and block.

Explore.

Hiking trails are literally a block away! The Lost Dutchman State Park boasts more than 6 different trails of all levels and features horseback riding and wildlife viewing. Be on the lookout for bighorn sheep, javelina, deer and curiously plump hawks and vultures

Canyon Lake rents pontoon boats, canoes and kayaks plus waterskiing and fishing equipment. You can also picnic and enjoy scenic views of the water and red-rock canyon walls. To explore the dramatic landscapes, hikers enjoy scenic trails that hug the shoreline.

Goldfield Ghost Town established in 1893 offers gold mine tours, walking ghost tours, ziplining & horseback riding with OK Corral Stables.

Airport.

Guests can fly into PHX (Sky Harbor Airport) which is a 45 minute drive.
